Open Your Eyes & Your Ears

From the L.A. Times

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County ( L.A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants, working without a green card.

2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.

3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.

4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal, whose births were paid for by taxpayers.

5. Nearly 25% of all inmates in California detention centers
are Mexican nationals here illegally.

6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.

7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles
are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.

8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.

9. 21 radio stations in L.A. are Spanish speaking.

10. In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English.
3.9 million speak Spanish.
(There are 10.2 million people in L.A. County ).
(All the above from the Los Angeles Times)

Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops,
but 29% are on welfare.

Over 70% of the United States ‘ annual population growth
(and over 90% of California , Florida , and New York )
results from immigration.

The cost of immigration to the American taxpayer in 1997 was, (after subtracting taxes immigrants pay), a NET $70 BILLION/year, [Professor Donald Huddle, Rice University ]. The lifetime fiscal impact (taxes paid minus services used) for the average adult Mexican immigrant is a NEGATIVE number.

29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

If they can come to this country, raise Hell and demonstrate by the thousands, WHY can’t they take charge over the corruption in their own country?

We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue.

THE U.S. VS MEXICO
On February 15, 1998, the U.S. and Mexican soccer teams met at the Los Angeles Coliseum. The crowd was overwhelmingly pro-Mexican even though most lived
in this country. They booed during the National Anthem and U.S. flags were held upside down. As the match progressed, supporters of the U.S. team were insulted, pelted with projectiles, punched and spat upon. Beer and trash were thrown at the U.S. players before and after the match. The coach of the U.S. team, Steve Sampson said, “This was the most painful experience I have ever had in this profession.”

Did you know that immigrants from Mexico and other non-European countries can come to this country and get preferences in jobs, education, and government contracts. It’s called affirmative action or racial privilege. The Emperor of Japan or the President of Mexico could migrate here and immediately be eligible for special rights unavailable for Americans of European descent.

Corporate America has signed on to the idea that minorities and third world immigrants should get special, privileged status. Some examples are Exxon, Texaco, Merrill Lynch,
Boeing, Paine Weber, Starbucks and many more.

DID YOU KNOW?

Did you know … that Mexico regularly intercedes on the side
of the defense in criminal cases involving Mexican nationals?

Did you know … that Mexico has NEVER extradited a Mexican national accused of murder in the U.S. in spite of agreements to do so?
According to the L.A. Times, Orange County , California is home to 275 gangs with 17,000 members, 98% of which are Mexican and Asian.
How’s your county doing?

Is education important to you? Here are the words of a teacher who spent over 20 years in the Los Angeles School system. “Imagine teachers in classes containing 30-40 students of widely varying attention spans and motivation,
many of whom aren’t fluent in English. Educators seek learning materials likely to reach the majority of students and that means fewer words and math problems and more pictures and multicultural references.”

WHEN I WAS YOUNG

I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island . They wanted to learn English. They wanted to breathe free. They wanted to become Americans.

Now, far too many immigrants come here with demands. They demand to be taught in their own language. They demand special privileges . affirmative action. They demand ethnic studies that glorify their culture.

NOW .
WHY CAN’T WE SEND THEM HOME

I wish my friend had included the date of the publication for this article but I doubt it would be hard to find. It certainly does open your eyes a little wider! I love this country and I want it back, how about you?

These under the radar incomes are a strong argument for a national sales tax–but before implementing one we would need to eliminate all others, drive a stake through their hearts, and bury them in garlic.

  2. “I remember hearing about the immigrants that came through Ellis Island . They wanted to learn English. They wanted to breathe free. They wanted to become Americans.”

If my people that came through Ellis Island, legally, from Italy, had one-tenth of the advantages these “people of color” have, I would have inherited millions.

That’s OK, each generation gets richer and stronger based on the values these people brought with them through Ellis Island.

I like the sales tax proposition, instead of payroll taxes and income taxes.
People with more money, spend more and buy more expensive products, while people with less money spend less, so pay less in sales tax. It sounds pretty fair. At least we could do away with the IRS and all the IRS rules that no one can understand completely. No more income tax returns!!! Yeah !!!

  4. Scolai says:

    Mouser,

Awesome work! you are the writer I hope to become.

  5. If only the politicians were less political. After years and years of ignoring this illegal immigration, it has reached or in many cases passed the crisis stage. Rather than debate and take action on the issue, these politicians, encouraged by the media, take sides, and throw non-binding resolutions at one another.

    Hi m,

It might be a better investment to build a fence around LA instead of along the boarder 😉 As to taxes, I say fund the Federal Government by voluntary donations only. The problem with a national sales tax is that the states would keep their income tax plans, and the complications would just build up again. Take a look at the ideas for a flat tax and see what you think about that.

  7. madmouser says:

I think most legal Angelenos would agree with you. I am not sold on a National Sales Tax per se; I am for changing the current tax system. I see the Flat Tax as a viable change, but like you said, eventually, they will keep voting to raise the percentage.

  8. Neil says:

Great set of facts. I think we need radical simplification in the tax code, as this one just keeps breeding corruption.

Sadly, the politicians slept too long and the illegal immigration issue is out of control.

  9. A subject close to my heart Mouser, thanks for this work.

On the bright side, Illegal immigrants have contributed mightily to the fabric of America, to the increasd tax base, providing needed skills and industry in a wide range of endeavors and growth of the nations economy.
These generally well educated, law abiding citizens provide a balance to the rapidly aging, soon to retire Boomers and necessary contributions to the social security system. Their offspring follow the parents lead and also work to become contributing members of society and gladly labor to achieve the American dream.

    Wait.

    Thats LEGAL immigrants.

    Nevermind.

  10. yes, America is a democratic country. The land, people hope to find and fullfill their dreams. And because of this promise that a lot of immigrants are attracted to whatever it takes. But even if this is the case, their are immigrants that abuse this freedom, and they do not realize that this is what makes the situation horrible.
Immigrants bring with them different skills that contribute to the improvement of the U.S.
As to what I know, compared to other countries, the U.S. is a country of God. And we all know that it is paradise for people around the world.

  11. britandgrit says:

We in the UK have politicians that can’t count. In 2005 they assured us that only 50,000 immigrants would be allowed into the country in 2006. In fact it was 500,000. Now of course the levels are so great that we are changing our laws, for example by banning office Christmas parties, to be PC towards the immigrant population.

Be thankful you have not reached that stage yet.

I wouldn’t be so sure about that. I’ve heard of some places (fire houses and schools in some parts of the country) where the American flag is banned, because “some might find it offensive”. I have frequently heard stories over the years of schools holding multicultural events during the Christmas season where other cultures get to talk about their holiday festivals and food dishes, but Christmas displays are banned. These are all at the local level though.

  13. Gorilla Guys says:

A Somali arrives in New York City as a new immigrant to the United States.

He stops the first person he sees on the street and says, “Thank you American for inviting me to your country, giving me housing, food stamps and a free education.”

The passer-by replies, “You are mistaken. I’m Mexican.”

The Somali continues on and encounters another passer-by.

“Thank you American, not only for opening your country to me, but also for the shedding of your soldiers blood in my homeland as they tried to make it a better place.”

“I no American…I Vietnamese,” came the reply.

The new immigrant walks on and stops the next person he sees to shake his hand.

    “Thank you for wonderful America!”

The person pulls his hand away in disgust, “I’m Egyptian, I am no American!”

The Somali finally encounters a kind looking old woman and asks, “Are you American?”

“No, I’m not,” she replied. “I’m from Russia.”

Puzzled, the new immigrant asks the Russian woman, “Where are all the American?”

The Russian woman looks at her watch and replies…

    “Probably at work!”
